Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, has pushed back on growing fears that artificial intelligence could crack Bitcoin and other crypto networks. In a recent post on X, he noted that the internet and banking systems rely on weaker encryption, even as worry about AI hacking crypto spreads. “ Everyone worried about AI hacking crypto, but the internet and banking systems rely on weaker encryption ,” he wrote. Where the real risk sits Zhao's point is that AI does not need to break Bitcoin's cryptography to cause damage. Leaked data, he said, already enables more phishing and social engineering. In other words, the weak point is the person holding the keys, not the code. He signed off with "Stay SAFU".
