The Smarter Web Company, the South West Bitcoin payments pioneer, has reshaped its board of directors following the departure of one of its non-executive directors. As a result of US-based Tyler Evans’ resignation with immediate effect, the Bristol-headquartered firm has appointed its chief financial officer Oliver Hewett to the board as an executive director. Hewett became the firm’s third chief financial officer (CFO) in nine months in June when he was promoted from his previous group financial controller role. Evans, who has stepped down to focus on his other business interests, is a key figure in the crypto currency world. Based in Nashville, his main job is chief investment officer of US bitcoin firm Nakamoto.
