Binance is closing its mining pool as the global market thins to a handful of dominant players. Africa, which sits on some of the cheapest untapped energy on earth, holds roughly 1–3% of Bitcoin’s hash rate. The window is open. When Binance shuts down its mining pool on November 10, thousands of miners around the world will move their hardware to one of the pools that remain. Most will end up at Foundry USA, AntPool, ViaBTC or F2Pool, four operations that accounted for about 70% of the blocks mined as of September 2026, according to mempool.space and Hashrate Index.
