UNUS SED LEO (LEO) is tied to a pledge to use at least 80 percent of remaining net proceeds from a 264.863 Bitcoin transfer for buybacks and burns. CryptoTicker reported on October 9, 2026, that a United States government wallet transferred the Bitcoin on October 6, 2026, in connection with the Bitfinex hack case. CryptoTicker said the proceeds first serve Recovery Right Tokens, or RRTs, which represent claims connected with the 2016 Bitfinex hack, and related costs. The 80 percent commitment applies to the net remainder, so the 264.863 Bitcoin transfer is not itself a LEO burn amount. The distinction matters because the transfer amount and the eventual token purchase use different units and stages.
