Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of Strategy, said Bitcoin is returning to a bull market. He made the remarks in a recent interview. Saylor expects banks to expand Bitcoin custody and lending services over the next 12–24 months. He also pointed to securities tokenization as a driver. In addition, he said Bitcoin-backed, dollar-pegged stablecoins could eventually offer yields of 6%–8% annually. However, he announced no specific issuance plans for such a product at this stage. Saylor described Bitcoin as digital capital, a scarce asset with a fixed supply and a global market. Even so, its price still responds to familiar forces. Restrictive monetary policy, geopolitical tension, and competition for capital can weigh on it. When investors move away from risk, Bitcoin can feel that pressure sharply.
