Although most weekends are typically quite sluggish for the crypto market, this one has turned out differently for now, with BTC dumping below $80,000 for the second time in the past ten days or so. The asset has taken most altcoins with it, and the liquidations are on the rise again. According to data from CoinGlass, over 210,000 traders have been wrecked in the past day alone. It was just several days ago, on Wednesday, when the primary cryptocurrency was riding high as it neared $85,000 for the first time in about two weeks. However, this rally seemed doomed from the start, and it didn’t take long for the bears to regain control and halt it.
