The first retail Bitcoin ETF in Switzerland is not just another product, according to analysts at the monitoring firm Santiment Intelligence. They argued that the real importance lies in bringing direct BTC exposure into a regulated fund structure familiar to ordinary investors, while opening the door for more issuers, competition, and broader portfolio adoption. Why This ETF Is Different? As reported earlier this week, Switzerland’s FINMA approved the first publicly available fund that invests directly in BTC. The key difference between that product and most others is that it doesn’t restrict which investors can get exposure to it. The previous Swiss-based ETF, greenlit years ago, was designed for professional investors. This one is open to the retail public.
