Michael Saylor, chairman and co-founder of Strategy, believes Bitcoin represents the future of finance, arguing that the digital asset could fundamentally reshape how individuals, businesses, and institutions preserve and grow wealth. Speaking during a fireside chat at DC Fintech Week with Chris Brummer, founder and CEO of The Fintech Foundation, Saylor presented his company’s approach as a model for rebuilding the financial system on digital capital. He said Strategy is widely misunderstood, describing it as a reserve institution built on three pillars: digital capital, digital credit, and digital equity. Bitcoin, he argued, is digital gold, a perfected form of capital whose supply is permanently capped at 21 million coins and therefore carries a zero percent inflation rate, unlike physical gold.
